Aquatics Director Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque – Albuquerque, NM 87109 Part-timeBachelor’s Degree in relevant field.Four years’ experience in organized aquatics field. (Experience may substitute for education.)Independent, highly-organized self-starter.Strong skills in budgeting and staff supervision, and ability to work with diverse groups.Enthusiasm for the role of aquatics in support individual and community development and growth.Strong work ethic and commitment to organizational mission.Lifeguard Certified. Pool Operator Certified or willing to obtain certification.*Work directly under the supervision of the Director of Operations and adhere to their policies and guidelines. Meet regularly to discuss the program.Interview, hire, and train all aquatics staff including lifeguards, swim instructors, water aerobics instructors, swim team coaches and master swim coaches.Organize and schedule pool activities for special events such as pool parties, swim meets and water polo matches.Implement new aquatics programs.Maintain operations of pump rooms and pool chemicals.Continually purchase chemicals, supplies, and safety equipment for pool, lifeguards and swim instructors.Manage weekly staff work schedules, and seasonally.Prepare Aquatics Program content for seasonal program guide and marketing materials.Keep members informed of all aquatics programs through brochures, flyers, emails and social media.Coordinate and implement hourly/weekly pool schedule.Prepare and conduct staff meetings/trainings for lifeguards and swim instructors.Oversee staff daily cleaning and maintenance duties for the pool and aquatics center.Input all aquatics program registration into Daxko database.Closely monitor all aquatics registrations throughout the year.Work closely with the Finance Director to formulate and adhere to an annual budget.Respond to member questions and concerns.Job Type: Part-timeRequired education:High school or equivalentRequired experience:Four years’ experience in organized aquatics field.
