Dive in and join us!As our new Aquatics Manager your purpose will be to help us create a fun, yet professional environment, providing our customers and their children with a great learning experience. You will work closely with the Franchisee owner and leading our swim instructors. You’ll be shaping our school’s culture and making sure we’re running a smooth operation. You’ll also play a big role in helping bring more customers to the School and keep them returning.This is initially a 30-hour position, but eventually moving to a full time commitment. You will need to work a flexible pattern including a regular weekend day and evenings. You will also need to be able to travel locally in the West Miami – Coral Gables area to visit all our pools.Your responsibilities will include:Taking overall responsibility for the British Swim School teaching program curriculum as the Lead Teacher and as well as teaching your own classes .Providing the initial training in the BSS swim method and the ongoing development to all our local swim teachersUsing BSS teacher assessment and development tools/checklists, to maintain lesson qualityEvaluating swim teacher performance and creating performance improvement plans as necessaryProviding guidance and support when managing specialist teaching and difficult class situationsAssisting with business growth activity and attracting new customers.Do you have what we are looking for?A track record in the world of swim and fitness teaching/management – A specialist aquatics qualification is particularly desirable.A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years staff supervisory experience.Experience with setting and maintaining standards for a service business – especially if it’s children related.A Lifeguard certification – or ability to renew.Fluency in English – and another language is a real bonus!If you can offer us all of the above, then in return we’ll give you training on the best swim program in the business, along with a competitive compensation package.Send us your resume, with your current salary info, and a letter telling us 1) What appeals to you about this job and 2) Why you’d be a great addition to our team.Job Type: Full-timeJob Location:Miami, FLRequired education:Bachelor’sRequired experience:Management: 2 yearsRequired language:SpanishRequired licenses or certifications:Driving LicenseLifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED
