Assistant Swim Coach Charter Oak Aquatic Club – Simsbury, CT $15 an hour – Part-timeCharter Oak Aquatic Club is seeking a part-time assistant coach in our Age Group Program.Charter Oak Aquatic Club practices out of Ethel Walker School in Simsbury CTUnder the direction of the Head Age Group Coach, the assistant coach is responsible for ouryoungest swimmers, ages 6-10, in solidifying the basics of swimming with an emphasis ontechnique.This is a part-time position, averaging 6-8 hours a week with a possibility of additional hours on an “as needed basis”. The assistant coach is required to attend practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 6:15-8:15PM and Saturday 7-9AMRequirements:Minimum two years’ experience in a competitive swim coach position preferred and/or past experience in swimming at a collegiate level.Must be able to pass all required USA Swimming requirements including:CPR/First Aid CertifiedBackground CheckCoach’s Safety TrainingAbility to work evenings and some weekendsAbility to work one or two swim meets a monthDuties:Develop stroke techniqueDevelop positive relationships with swimmers/coaches/familiesMust be engaged and interactive with swimmersAll interested applicants should submit their resume to Kait Moss, Head Age Group Coach.
