Department: Aquatics Job Title: Assistant Swim & Dive Coaches Status: Seasonal/Hourly Reports To: Head Swim or Dive Coach Cherry Hills Country Club was founded in 1922 and has long been one of the countrys most prestigious clubs. The Club has hosted 12 major golf championships, including the 2014 BMW Championship which was named PGA Tournament of the Year. Summary: CHCC is hiring Assistant Swim and Dive Coaches to create positive, memorable experiences for participants of the summer swim and dive teams. High energy and an engaging personality a must in this position. The season begins in mid-May and runs through the end of July, with some work opportunities available before and after the season. Seasonal part-time work is available ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week. Candidates who possess a current lifeguard certification could supplement their hours as a lifeguard at the pool. Preferred candidates have few restrictions in regards to extended vacations or other commitments that would conflict with a regular work schedule during the swim or dive seasons. Responsibilities & Duties: Applicants must be able to provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for the swim or dive team participants. Candidates must be available mornings Monday-Friday. Assistant Coaches must also attend all swim or dive meets and team functions throughout the season. Qualifications: Experience coaching is preferred but not necessary for a candidate who has the appropriate background swimming or diving. Qualified Assistant Swim Coach candidates will be proficient in all strokes and have a willingness to get in the water to teach and demonstrate. Candidates with a competitive background in swimming or diving are preferred. A current Lifeguard certification, equivalent to Red Cross, is preferred. Candidates MUST be of an age that places them between the end of their senior year in high school and first year of College as a minimum. A criminal free background and the ability to pass a drug screen are requirements for the position. Compensation & Benefits: Cherry Hills Country Club is a non-tipping work environment. Qualified candidates will be compensated with a fair, comparable hourly rate. The hourly rate is determined based off of each candidate’s prior personal experience and attributes that are appropriate and beneficial for the position. One meal per 5 hour shift.
