Assistant Swim Coach Weston Recreation Department – Weston, MA $19 an hour – Part-timeAssistant Swim Coach – Weston Recreation DepartmentApplications are being accepted for the part-time position of Assistant Swim Coach, Weston Recreation Department. The Coach will provide high quality experiences for participants that focus on the Weston Recreation Department core values of safety, fun, responsibility and respect. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to : Training swimmers in competitive swimming skills and techniques. The successful candidate will also be responsible for general safety (preventing injuries, eliminating hazards, and enforcing rules and regulations) and assisting with skill development for the participants in his/her group.Qualifications and experience: Prior swim coaching experience or swim instruction experience is required. Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification is preferred but not required with experience. CPR/AED, and First Aid certification is required. Effective communication skills with both parents and children are essential.Salary and Benefits: This is a part-time, non-benefit position; evening shifts Monday – Thursday, occasional Fridays and weekend meets.
