Long Beach lifeguards will continue to keep an eye out for sharks, but an absence of sightings through Tuesday means the end of an advisory period requiring signs to warn beachgoers of potential shark encounters. The Long Beach Fire Department announced the end of the advisory period with a Facebook post made about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. City lifeguards work for the department’s Marine Safety Division.  READ MORE…..
