Core hours for position: Tues 4:15-6:45PM, Wed 5:15-6:45PM, Thurs 4:15-6:45PM Starting Wage: $12.00

Responsibilities:Plan seasons, conduct practices for age group and developmental levels (Rookies, Bronze, and Silver).Attend both regular season and championship meets as assigned.Recommend entries of swimmers for swim meets.Assist in tryouts and hosted meets.Provide upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment.Develop character in all participants. Develop, retain, and bring out potential of all levels of swimmers.Communicate with Aquatic Directors, swim team, coaches, parents, volunteers, and community to inform of practices, meets, and other swimming related events. Responds appropriately to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.Assist with educational opportunities for parents and swimmers, such as clinics, presentations and meetings.Assure compliance with rules, standards, and guidelines set forth by YMCA of the USA, USA Swimming, and that all aquatic safety procedures are followed. Assure compliance with state and local regulations from aquatic and swimming governing bodies.Assist with Parent Advisory Council to facilitate parent volunteer activities and support. Collaborate with PAC regarding fundraising goals and ideas. Help facilitate all fundraising with Pac and team membership.Work to expand Age Group swimming, as well as other competitive swimming programs in accordance with strategic and operating plans.Maintain safety standards at practices and swim meets.

Qualifications:A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.Experience in competitive swimming.YMCA Lifeguard, CPR-Pro, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration certifications required.YMCA and USA Coaching certification required within 30 days of hire.Strong organizational and communication skills required.Familiar with computer software including Hy-tek Team Manager, Meet Manager, Team Unify or equivalent, and other general computer skills.
