Job Description

Qualifications:
Valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding / CPR/ First Aid / AED preferred. Training available
to qualified applicants.
Successful completion of written and water test.
Skill in oral and written communication skills.
Experience working with children preferred.
Familiar with computer program on-line Active Server (will train)
Be prepared and proficient in all Emergency Action Plans (community and school use)
Must be responsible, dependable and enjoy working with people of all ages.
Must be available to perform opening/closing duties.
18 years and older must obtain criminal background check as required by the State of
Michigan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Regular and reliable in person attendance is an essential job function
Ensure safety of all swimmers by taking precautionary measures and enforcing rules
BEFORE an accident happens
Wear On-Guard uniform and carry provided equipment at all times
Ability to work with children
Perform rescues and basic first aid when necessary
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High energy
Strong work ethic
