Come join our aquatics team in Bentonville, AR! We are hiring for a full-time Lifeguard at the Walton Life Fitness Center

Our Lifeguards report to the Aquatics Director and are responsible for ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all members and guests utilizing the aquatic facilities. Key Accountabilities include:

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary. Respond appropriately to any emergency situation.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub 4x a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels, cleaning, filling water machines, and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Role Requirements: 

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current Lifeguarding certification with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Experience as a lifeguard in an aquatic facility and/or experience in pool water testing and cleaning preferred.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of: 500-yard swim; Active, Passive, Submerged rescues; Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water; Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
