Full Time Senior Coordinator for Aquatics

Job Description

This position is an integral part of the Recreational Sports Aquatics area and reports directly to the Assistant Director for Aquatics. The Coordinator will participate in the programming and daily operations of the Ramsey Student Center Natatorium (open 110+ hours per week). This incumbent supports academic classes, varsity swimming and diving team activities, student recreational programming and special events. Primary duties include recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and supervising a staff of 75 to 100 lifeguards and aquatics instructors; developing and managing revenue-producing aquatic programs; and assisting with the department’s safety training and emergency action plans. This employee will also work with one graduate assistant and a full-time maintenance employee. Additionally, this person assists with providing overall leadership for the Recreational Sports staff in the development and implementation of recreational programs and services for the University of Georgia community.
