Kids Race Across The Carroll Aquatic Center In Boats Made Of Cardboard

Kids involved with the Carroll Summer Fun Camp visited the Carroll Aquatic Center Tuesday morning, and their goal was to avoid getting in the water. Last week, teams of campers spent hours building boats made of cardboard, duct tape and floaties to race across the pool. Four teams, the Apollo, the Torpedo, the Directioner and Carroll Venom, battled across the swimming lanes. The Directioner ended up taking home first place in the one-minute contest. Isabella Baldus, one of the crewmembers on the winning vessel, was unsure if their boat would be able to stay above water.  Read more…
