Loveland’s Colorado Time Systems inducted into Colorado Swimming Hall of Fame
LOVELAND — A homegrown Loveland company is being honored for the splash it has made in the world of competitive swimming.Colorado Time Systems, founded 45 years ago by five former Hewlett-Packard Co. employees “who had the technology in their heads,” was inducted this month into the Colorado Swimming Hall of Fame.Hall of Fame representatives will come to Loveland on Monday to make a special presentation to officials of the company and its founders.In its facility at 1551 E. 11th St., Colorado Time System engineers and manufactures swimming-related devices such as starting blocks, touch pads, pace clocks and timing systems, as well as scoreboards and other products for a variety of sports.”At my high school state meet in 1974, we had three stopwatches in every lane.
