Summer Swim Team Assistant Coach Lakota Family YMCA – Township of Liberty, OH Part-time, Temporary

The Lakota Family YMCA is looking for 1-2 Assistant Coaches for its summer league swim team. We are located just north of Cincinnati in Liberty Township, Ohio. We compete as a member of the Tri-County Swim League during the summer months. The season begins in Mid-May and runs through the League Championship meet at the end of July. Practices are held 3 days per week in the afternoon in May and 5 days per week in the morning in June and July.  Prospective coaches should have knowledge of all 4 competitive strokes as well as starts and turns. Competitive swimming experience is preferred but not required. Applicants should be able to work well with children and have the ability to break down complex movements into simpler steps that can be easily mastered.  This is a seasonal position with the opportunity to continue on as an assistant for our year-round team in the fall.   Practice times are as follows: May 16-30: T/TH/F 5:00-7:30pm   May 31-July 27: M-F 7:30-10:00amLeague dual meets take place on Tuesday evenings. We participate in 1-2 weekend invitationals along with the League Championship Meet on July 28-29.  Compensation is commensurate with experience.
