Job Title: Swim InstructorFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports to: Aquatics Coordinator and/or Director
POSITION SUMMARYThe Hilltop Family YMCA is looking for talented, energetic, and experienced Swim Instructors to join our Aquatics team! Our job is to provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes and to promote safety, self-confidence, a healthy lifestyle and member involvement.
SOME ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Instructs swimming lessons using age appropriate methods in accordance with YMCA curriculum. Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers. Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age of 18 Schedule and achieve a proficiency grade in CPR, First Aid & AED certifications within first 60 days of employmentPay Rate: $13.00/hourCandidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and YMCA job application to the Director of Aquatics, Benicia Rivera.
