For more information about Agon, visit their website AgonSwim.com.Florida High School Swimming and Diving will conclude for the 2017 season this weekend with the 3A and 4A Championship meets. 3A action will be on Friday, followed by 4A action on Saturday.Last year‘s action was highlighted by two state records from Plant junior Morgan Tankersley. The Buchholz girls and Riverview boys were repeat state champions.GirlsMorgan Tankersley broke two state records, the 200 and 500 freestyles, at last year’s meet. Tankersley, now a Stanford commit, returns to those two events this year. Buchholz junior Isabel Ivey won’t make Tankersley’s path an easy one. Ivey was the 200 IM and 50 free state champ at last year’s 1A meet when she was a sophomore at Oak Hall. With her transfer to Buchholz, the defending champions are looking even stronger this year.  Read More

Minimum Hourly Rate:$14.07 Primary Objective of Position:Coach practices and work with adult swimmers of various ages and abilities. Job Responsibilities:1. Teach adult swimmers of all ages and abilities. 2. Run workouts without supervision. 3. Attend Minnetonka Aquatics meets and events as needed. 4. Maintain a high level of responsibility and professionalism. Job Qualifications: 1. Extensive background in competitive swimming. 2. Experience as a swim coach for at least 2 years. 3. Experience with triathlon and open water swimming (preferred). 4. Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to children and adults. 5. Current American Red Cross Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Swim Coaches Safety Training (preferred). 6. Demonstrated leadership and public relations skills. 7. Position: Swim Team Coach Recreation & Community Services Department Salary Range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour DOQ Part-Time, Temporary, Non-Benefited position Schedule: Actual work schedule to be determined through mutual agreement with supervisor. Employee may be required to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. The Position: The City of Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced Swim Team Coach for Campbell Wave Swim Team Senior Group at the Campbell Community Center. Responsibilities: This position reports to the Aquatics Recreation Specialist and is responsible for swim team coordination with Aquatics Recreation Specialist. This position prepares and implements work-outs; tracks and encourages team enrollment; maintains various records; organizes and attends swim meets; evaluates stroke technique; assists with budget preparation; has thorough knowledge of emergency response protocol, risk management and emergency care; complies and enforces all City of Campbell and Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department policies and procedures. The essential functions of employment include: Assistance in developing, organizing and supervising daily operations and practices; assistance in evaluating Campbell Wave swim team program; documentation including daily participant attendance; planning, execution and evaluation of swim meet participation; professional interaction and effective communication with children, swimmers and the general public. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum age at time of hire is 18 years old Two (2) or more years of swim coaching experience Valid California Driver’s license Current CPR certification Safety Training for Swim Coaches or Lifeguard Training certification TB Clearance Fingerprint clearance (Department of Justice background check).
