Pool – Aquatics Director Rolling Hills Country Club – Wilton, CT 06897Rolling Hills is a premier private country club located in Wilton, CT (close proximity to Route 7 & Merritt Parkway). The club features a state of the art clubhouse, 18-hole championship golf course, swimming pool, tennis & paddle courts and multiple dining options. The Pool Director is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the pool facility. This position is also responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those using the club’s swimming pool.This position is under the direct supervision of the General Manager & Pool Committee Chairperson. Takes direction from Facility Manager regarding pool mechanicals and chemicals.The pool facility is open (7) days per week (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend and two weekends post Labor Day). High visibility is expected at peak volume times (especially weekends & Holidays). This is a full-time seasonal position for 15-16 weeks.Duties:To supervise the activities of pool staff and swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations.Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise all pool staff. Adhere to proper and active certification compliance of all guards.Plan, organize and promote aquatic programs/activities (swim lessons and summer camp.)To warn swimmers of improper activities or hazards.To rescue persons in distress or in danger of drowning when indicated and provide rescue breathing, CPR, and First Aid.To report to the General Manager or Facility Manager any equipment that is in need of repair.Perform duties of swim instructor for summer camp and individual lessons.Maintain and complete accurate records of pool operation water testing (3x/day) for chlorine and PH which is in compliance with local and state health department.Oversee the general cleaning of pool including vacuuming,cleaning of decks, skimmers and restrooms.Supervisor daily SOP (standard operating procedures) for lifeguards.Plan and schedule training for lifeguards including required certification prior to pool opening. To include onsite with local certified trainer for emergency procedures.Interpret RHCC rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of all persons using the facility. Report any non-compliance to General Manager.Qualifications:Currently certified with Red Cross Lifeguard Training (to include CPR/AED)Prior Pool or Aquatics Director experience.Previous managerial experience preferred.  Undergraduate Degree
